The Planning Division of the Community Development Department is responsible for economic development, both short and long range land use planning, zoning administration, historic preservation, and code enforcement.
The Community Development Department provides staff support to the Planning Commission (APC), the Historic Landmarks Commission (HLC), the Design Review Committee (DRC), Astoria Development Commission (ADC), and the Traffic Safety Advisory Committee (TSAC).
The Planning Division within the Department administers the Comprehensive Plan , the Development Code, and zoning map.
The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
